Absolutely!
Let me tell you a bit about worry, and what it does towards your body.
Hans Selye was a remarkable researcher. What he learned is remarkable, and regretably, not really considered in this day and age by the mainstream. This is sad, as it really goes a long way to explaining alot!
When we are exposed to a stress (physical, mental, emotional), we first have to detect it. We experience an alert phase. This is when our bodies realise there is something we need to repond to. Then we try to adapt to this anxiety. These steps are critical to our immediate survival. We go into flight or fight mode. When we are in flight or fight, we are in your survival mode only (NOT health and wellbeing mode)…? We need to get out of the situation in order to revert to our natural healthly state…? The upcoming phase described by Hans Selye is physical weakness. As I reported, being in flight or beat phase is NOT about health and fitness. It is purely about survival. So, unless we change your situation (ie get away from the stress), our body keeps trying to adapt. Now, being in survival mode is very expensive energy wise. So, eventually, we will suffer the pain of fatigue. We aren\'t able to longer keep adapting. This is when serious illness definitely sets in. Heart attacks, strokes, cancer…? (and PCOS increases your risk of these illnesses).
